Ready to tee off and save lives? Join us on October 2nd at the Carrollwood Country Club for the 2023 Drive to Save Lives Golf Tournament. Let’s gather with our ForHearts community in Tampa Bay for a day of golf, all to support our global mission of providing cardiac devices to those in need.
Saving Lives on the Golf Course
When you join us for the Drive to Save Lives, that is exactly what you will be doing! Last year’s tournament raised over $15,000, with 74 players taking the course in our scramble-style format. This year we are aiming for 100 players to take part in the golfing fun and fulfilling feeling of saving lives.
The Drive to Save Lives is an essential annual fundraiser for ForHearts, helping to fund our life-saving work and goal of expanding our mission from providing not only pacemakers but other implantable devices, such as stents and valves. It is the “why” that we hope inspires everyone to join us again this year.
“It’s about having fun and supporting the mission. Why they should come is supporting our mission of saving lives,” says Laura DeLise, ForHearts Executive Director. “The more dollars that come in help us save more lives…The golf is just the mechanism, if you will.”
Having Fun While Raising Funds
This year’s tournament will feature fun on-course experiences and player perks. Our putting and hole-in-one contests are back, with golfers aiming for the chance to win a trip to the 2024 Master’s Tournament. Golfer’s of all skill levels can shoot their shot in our air launcher contest, a golf cannon with the player landing their ball closest to the pin claiming victory. And we could not start the day without our Bloody Mary bar hosted by Tito’s to get everyone in a fun frame of mind.
The day on the greens will be followed by an evening together dining, celebrating, and having more opportunities to win amazing experiences in our raffle and live auction. Items include a ticket and meet-and-greet package with the Tampa Bay Rowdies for their October 7 home game, with a fireworks show to follow. For golfers who are just getting warmed up, they can bid on two rounds of golf from our host Carrollwood Country Club.

Program and Live Auction – 5:00 p.m.
